Thessaloniki Airport "Makedonia", is an International airport located 14 km of the city centre. It is the second largest airport in Greece. It is the main airport of northern part of the country and serves the city of Thessaloniki, and the cities of the region.

Transfer from / to airport
Bus
The OASTH buses connect the airport with the city centre throughout the day by the 01X and 01N lines. The journey is around 40 minutes.
- Line 01X departs every 30 minutes during the day.
- Line 01N operates during the night.
- The nearest bus stop to the INISTA venue, when coming from the airport, is "KOLOMVOU".
- Along the route, you can get off in city centre "Platia Aristotelous" (Aristotle's square) and at the main bus station of Thessaloniki "KTEL Thessaloniki".
- For the outward journey to the airport, the nearest bus stop to the INISTA venue is "KOLOMVOU".
A single ticket costs €2.00. You can buy the ticket from the ticket machine on the bus, but keep in mind that the machine does not return spare change.

Taxi
A special arrangement has been made with a local taxi company, Taxithess, regarding airport transfers. As an INISTA participant you will be able to contact them and coordinate your transfers from and to the airport. You will be met at the airport, after customs formalities by English speaking drivers qualified in accordance with the legislation. Transfer will be performed in new, high quality Mercedes cars The price from SKG Airport to any hotel in Thessaloniki centre is 25 euros. This price is inclusive of all taxes, it is applicable 24 hours/7 days in a week, and is valid for up to 3 persons with luggage at no extra cost.

The bus number 50 "Cultural Line" is the sightseeing route. You can get the bus near the White Tower (Lefkos Pirgos). "Ladadika" district is recommended for entertainment (music, food, cafe, bars) near the port of Thessaloniki, which is also very nice for a night walk (various cultural activities are taking place there).
