By plane

Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport (IATA: GDN, ICAO: EPGD, http://www.airport.gdansk.pl) is an international airport located near Gdynia, about 25 km by road.

From the airport

  • by taxi
A taxi from the airport costs about 120 PLN (Polish zloties), i.e. approximately 30 EUR. It is the easiest and quickest way to reach the hotel. The taxi rank is situated in front of the main entrance to the passenger terminal. Make sure that the taxi driver can confirm the price before you start the journey. 
 
  • by PKM (Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway)
Choose a train that goes from the airport to Gdynia Central Railway Station (Gdynia Gl). You may get off the train at Gdynia Wzgórze Sw. Maksymiliana. The schedule may be found here. You should choose trains going to Gdynia. That would be the following departures:
- Monday-Friday: 7.19am, 8.12am, 9.10am, 10.15am, 11.12am, 12.10pm, 1.12pm, 2.11pm, 3.11pm, 3.59pm, 4.30pm, 5.19pm, 6.11pm, 7.09pm, 8.11pm, 9.11pm, 10.18pm
- Saturday-Sunday: 06:45am, 09:10am, 10:15am, 11:12am, 12:10pm, 1:12pm, 2:11pm, 3:11pm, 3:59pm, 5:19pm, 6:11pm, 7:09pm, 7:41pm, 8:11pm, 9:11pm, 10:18pm.
 
  • by bus
When arriving to Gdansk airport look for the bus number 4A. The bus leaves at: 6.50am, 8.00am, 9.30am, 10.30am, 12.10am, 3.00pm, 5.05pm, 6.30pm, 9.15pm Monday-Friday, and 6:50am, 10:20am, 12:10pm, 14:00pm, 18:30pm, 21:15pm Saturday-Sunday (http://www2.zkmgdynia.pl/index_rozklady.php?linia=4A).
 

You will be travelling from Gdansk Port Lotniczy (Gdansk Airport). Exit the bus at the stop called "Wzgórze Sw. Maksymiliana SKM 01". The tickets can be bought on the bus. One ticket costs 4.00 PLN (about 1 EUR). You may have to buy a set of 5 half-price tickets and you can pay only in PLN.

From Wzgórze Sw. Maksymiliana you can walk (about 18 minutes) or take bus 252 or 128 from the near bus stop (Urzad Miasta - Swietojanska 01). Do not take bus with these numbers on other bus stops (check the exact name), or you will make half an hour tour around Gdynia. On 128 and 252 there is standard fare (on standard fare read below). Get off the bus at the stop "Dom Marynarza". Then walk to the hotel (6 minuts)..

By train

Gdynia Central Railway Station (Dworzec PKP Gdynia Glowna), located 2 km from the conference venue, serves domestic direct connections from/to main cities in Poland: Warsaw (capital of Poland), Wroclaw, Poznan, Krakow, Szczecin and others. If you choose a train to reach Gdynia and Tricity please consult the PKP trains schedule.

Bus/trolley-bus

One paper ticket on standard bus line costs 3,20 PLN (about 0.75 EUR). The tickets can be bought at some newsstands or directly from the bus driver. The drivers sell sets of 5 half-price tickets. For ticket fares look here.

Commuter train (SKM)

A commuter train, known as SKM (Fast City Train), runs constantly between Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk from 5 am till midnight, stopping at a dozen intermediate stations. The trains run every 5 to 10 minutes (not so frequently in the evening) and the trip to Gdansk takes about 35-40 minutes. You buy tickets at ticket offices in the stations or some newsstands and validate them in the yellow machines at the platform entrance. The fare depends on the distance. When buying a ticket, say the name of station you want to go to.
